The installation displayed before mine is made by Anne Habermann
An art-installation inspired by Jedermann (Stirbt) by Ferdinand Schmalz.
Long have I wondered why people are afraid of death. Death doesn't have to be scary at all. There is a beauty and tranquility in it. Why be afraid of something that is inevitable. It is simply part of a life cycle.
With that thought I made an art-installation. A dance of death that radiates tranquility, peace and softness. The two canvases that together form one image. A gentle breeze, or someone passing by, and the fabric dances along. Revealing the dynamics of a dance. The transparency of the comings and goings. Appearing and disappearing.
